Welcome to our website.  Jeremy and I are based at ‘Double J’ Injune in the Northern Maranoa area of Queensland. The four businesses featured on our website are a reflection of the things we are passionate about, namely cattle, the land and horses.

Although only a minor part of this website, JS Grazing consumes the majority of our time.  JS Grazing is made up of Jeremy and I and his parents Jeff and Jenny Shaw. We run an Angus herd over four properties in the Injune district and ‘Glen Almond’ at Nundle, NSW aimed at turning off quality Angus weaners ideal for feeders or replacement heifers.

JS Photography has developed from an interest in photography which I have had since childhood into a hobby I do most weekends that we are at campdrafts. I bought my first Nikon film camera in 2000 and have been photographing horse events ever since.

We established Jayess Stockhorses shortly after getting married in 2007 by pooling the horses we owned. We are slowly building a good group of broodmares that we have bred and/or trained ourselves. We sometimes have different ideas about what constitutes a good stock horse, I myself like something that is a good type, quiet and soft whereas Jeremy puts emphasis on good bone, size and comfort. However we both agree that what we are trying to achieve with our horses is to produce something which is of sound confirmation that naturally wants to chase cattle and you are happy to saddle it up for a day’s mustering.

Rugged Up was created out of a spare room at Beulah, when we lived in New South Wales from March 2006 until May 2010.  With up to ten horses double rugged during the winter I decided to purchase an industrial sewing machine and taught myself to sew. I pulled apart rugs that we both really liked the fit of and the Rugged Up pattern is a combination of these favourites. Fit and quality fittings are the cornerstone of this business and I am proud of the products that I am making.
